Welcome to Natures Beauty

About me

My name is Marius and I love landscape photography.

I do not make a living out of my photography, so I guess I would be classified as a hobbyist photographer.

There is nothing as rewarding for me as the time I spend out in nature with my camera. Weekends are very special, because generally it gives me time to get out.  The best time for me for making photo's are early in the morning and later afternoon, what the Pro's call golden and blue hour's.  Luckily I do not have a problem in getting myself out of bed in the morning's, but I can understand that it could be one of the biggest factors that keeps people away from landscape photography. If your alarm wakes you up at 3am in the middle of summer, it can become difficult to get going.

I have been using a DSLR to make photographs since March of 2016, and I love every minute of it. Prior to that I used bridge camera's to take photo's.

In real life I am a software engineer running my own small business which is called Turnkey Information Systems. I do believe that the high pressure you generally experience in the technology sector is one of the reasons I love getting out with my camera. When I am out there, it is as if my complete self are being replenished with energy, I am so focussed on what I am doing, that my brain does not have the time to think about anything else, and that makes me completely relaxed.

The Gear I use

I have the following goodies that I use in my photographic adventures:

My Photographic Philosophy

You can only get better by making sure you get out and do photography as often as you can. Don't use excuses about bad weather or the nice warm bed to get out and make some photos.

Gear does not make a photo, it's the person behind the camera that makes the photo, so do not fool yourself that you will make decent photographs just because you have the most expensive gear on the market. Don't get me wrong, gear does help, if you know how to use it, and have a decent understanding about subject, composition, light and timing.

I make photographs for myself, not to please anyone else, if I am happy with the photo that is good enough for me.
